Usher's young son, Usher Raymond V, has been hospitalized in Atlanta after an accident in the family's swimming pool on Monday (Aug. 5). The five-year-old boy nearly drowned and is currently in the ICU. Fortunately, doctors expect Usher's son to recover.

According to a report from TMZ, the accident occurred while the boy was playing in the pool with his aunt. When a toy got stuck in the pool's drain, the child tried to retrieve it and got his arm caught. His aunt and a maid both tried to pull him out but were unable to do so.

Two men working nearby in the house responded to screams and were finally able to get young Usher free.

CPR was administered on site before the boy was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. His father, recording artist and "Voice" coach Usher, was apparently not home initially but did ride to the hospital in the ambulance. Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, are both reported to be at the hospital.

Although doctors expect the child to recover, this is the second similar tragedy to strike a child in the family. In 2012, Tameka's 11-year-old son from a previous marriage died after being injured in a jet-ski accident.
