Van Halen postpones 31 tour dates, and no one's sure why
The band, which kicked off a reunion tour in February after original lead singer David Lee Roth buried the hatchet with guitarist Eddie Van Halen, has postponed 31 concert dates. Thirteen shows between Saturday (May 19) and June 26 are apparently still on, but the dates scheduled for after that disappeared from the band's website on Thursday.
There's been no official explanation for the postponements, but a source close to the tour tells Rolling Stone that old tensions have resurfaced and the band members "hate each other."
"The band is arguing like mad," the source says. "They are fighting."
Ticket sales have thus far been pretty strong for the tour, which is in support of Van Halen's new album "A Different Kind of Truth."
