"Orange Is The New Black" fans know the song well that begins with the lyrics -- "The animals, the animals. Trapped, trapped, trapped 'till the cage is full."

Well, an organization called Mercy For Animals wants you to pay attention to what's happening with actual animals, like cows and cute baby goats and their prison lives.

In this new version of the "Orange" theme, Regina Spektor's famous intro song is being used to shed some light on the treatment of factory farm animals. The video runs in a similar fashion to the original, except for the faces looking back at you are of cute piglets and the like -- trapped behind bars.

"Vegan Is The New Black" takes its cues from videos like Sarah McLachlan's ASPCA video, where she shines a light on animal cruelty issues, and uses the popular song to tug at viewer's heartstrings.

The end leaves you with a message to ponder reading, "Animals on factory farms serve a life sentence without parole."

Take a look at the video and let us know if you think this is an effective use for the beloved "Orange" theme.
