"Veronica Mars" fans rejoice, because the moment we all have been waiting for has arrived. The release date for the long-anticipated movie, simply titled "Veronica Mars," has been announced.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the flick will be released on March 14, 2014 -- almost a year to the day after creator Rob Thomas announced the project's Kickstarter on March 13, 2013. Fans proceeded to pay $5.7 million to make sure the movie got made.

Now they're going to reap the rewards of that. While the original plan was for "Veronica Mars" to screen in a limited number of cities before having a broader life via video on demand and "other digital platforms," now WB is planning a nationwide release and will "let the marketplace decide how long it should stay in theaters." The exact number of screens it will appear on is yet to be determined.

"We're not going to dribble it out there," Thomas says. "There are smart ways to do a movie of this size -- and we chose none of them. We are a low budget movie with big set pieces and 60 speaking roles. A murder mystery in a house would have been more cost effective. But I think we have managed to pull it off."

In addition to the exciting release date news, there also is a new clip from the flick from Veronica's 10-year high school reunion. It has to be watched here, but is totally worth it simply because *spoiler alert* Veronica calls Madison Sinclair an "a**hole." It's awesome.
