Taylor Swift strutted alongside the angels in the electric, fast-paced "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013" which taped in Manhattan Wednesday (Nov. 13).
The Victoria's Secret models, some wearing teeny panties, elaborate bras, balancing insanely high heels and what had to amount to a flock of birds' feathers as their angel wings, strutted down a long glitter catwalk built in the 69th Regiment Armory.
The show runs on CBS Tuesday, Dec. 10, and is seen in 190 countries by more than 500 million people.
Apart from the expected of impossibly beautiful women wearing an amazing array of sequins, feathers, lace and fun, sexy attitudes, here's what to look for:
The first model out was Candice Swanepoel, wearing a $10 million bra. Yes, $10 million for one bra, but it does include a 52-carat pear-shaped ruby and some 4,200 other rubies, diamonds and yellow sapphires.
That helps explain some of the intense security of NYPD, K-9 patrol and private security that ringed the cavernous building.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights Marching Drum Line kicked off the show, and the first theme was British Invasion. Fall Out Boy took over the music and Swift came out the first time in a Union Jack shorts with a flowing back, nothing anywhere as revealing as the models.
Union Jacks billowed from the ceiling as Behati Prinsloo made the Queen's Guard look sexy in a tailored waistcoat and black feather wings over the "sexy little things cheekini panty."
There was Cara DeLevingne, the football angel, if you happen to play soccer in sky-high heels and a push-up bra.
Karlie Kloss took applause when she spread gigantic psychedelic, custom-painted angel wings. And Kasia Struss was a British Bobby, though not quite in regulation uniform since hers included a velvet tailored jacket, over a push up bra and sequined lace panties.
The show, which was the second of the evening and started a little late, then moved with precision timing. As the British Invasion left the stage, a modern dancer took over for a few moments and he gave way to the Birds of Paradise section and a lot of corsets, feather bustles.
So few women look sexy in bustles but Victoria's Secret models are the exception.
Soon, thick ropes, the sort found on ships, were lowered and the Shipwrecked portion began.
Model Doutzen Kroes, in drift wood wings, led the most romantic of the collections. This section featured a lot of filmy trains and hand-sculpted corsets.
And in what would become the song theme of the evening, Neon Jungle sang "Trouble" while the models sashayed past them.
Swift sang "I Knew You Were Trouble" wearing a silver shimmery dress, shoes and glitter mic and danced with the models, strutting to the end of the catwalk, posing.
Other than an announcement in the beginning to turn off any electronic devices and telling the estimated 1,280 people seated that this was the hottest ticket going Wednesday night, there was no running commentary.
In the last segment, Snow Angels, was a series of white, and icy blue bras, panties and feathers, a couple of models had feather wings that would have made Liberace weep.
And when Magdalena Frackowiak came out in the final feather cape with a Swarovski crystal-studded bodysuit, the show ended. All of the models walked back onto the stage, resembling a new super breed of human, somehow taller, prettier and better muscled than 99 percent of those who will buy the copies of what was modeled.
