Video Game Awards 2010: Neil Patrick Harris and 'Laser Shark Dogs with People Hands'

neil-patrick-harris-video-game-awards.jpg Neil Patrick Harris, the Broadway regular and Emmy-winning star of "How I Met Your Mother," hosted the 2010 Video Game Awards for Spike TV Saturday (Dec. 11).

The awards show kicked off with a song-and-dance number by a bunch of white-tie-and-tails clad backup dancers. Fancy!

NPH took to the stage in black, sniping, "What the f*** do you think this is, the Tonys?" and shot up the dancers with fake tommy guns as stage blood exploded from their tuxedoes. Awesome.

Later NPH offered a suggestions for games that mix gaming with pornography: "Halo: Reach Around," "World of Whorecraft," "Call of Booty: Pre-ops," "Grand Theft Auto-erotic Asphyxiation: Carradine City" and "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11."

What did you think of Harris as the VGA host?

We'll post video later if we can find it, but for now here's a promo of NPH from Spike TV. He teases that the 2010 VGAs will feature the world debut of "Laser Shark Dogs with People Hands." We ... hope that's a made-up game.
