'Viva Forever': Spice Girls' Victoria Beckham feud renewed at West End opening
The Spice Girls celebrated the opening of "Viva Forever," the West End musical based on their songs, but noticeably absent from the love fest was Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham.
While Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisolm posed together on the red carpet, Victoria arrived much later, posing with her husband, David Beckham, and their three sons. Posh was said to be delayed by traffic.
But Scary, Baby, Ginger and Sporty Spice were reportedly in a huff about it, as they had spent the day getting ready together as a group. Posh also stayed seated during the performance, while the other girls stood to their feet and danced. At the after party, the Beckhams sat in a "cornered-off section," while the other ladies partied and danced the night away.
Mel C didn't bother hiding her feelings about Victoria's distance from the rest of the girl group. Digital Spy reports Mel was asked by a reporter about the whereabouts of Posh, and responded, "Who? She's with her husband."
Sporty Spice reportedly then turned away and said, "Some b***h just asked me where Victoria was. F*** off!" She also flashed her middler finger. Uh oh ...
This is not the first time there has been tension between the women over Victoria's seeming desire to distance herself from her Spice Girls past. Mel B has expressed frustrations over Victoria being the lone hold out to various reunion plans.
Sure, it would have been nice for Posh to do some red carpet bonding with the rest of the Spices -- at least fake it for the cameras -- in promotion of "Viva Forever." But can the other ladies really blame the one woman who has moved on to bigger, better things than the Spice Girls?
