laurie-holden-major-crimes-the-walking-dead.jpg "The Walking Dead" vet Laurie Holden has booked her next gig: She's guest-starring as a LAPD officer on TNT's "Major Crimes" in an episode that could serve as a spinoff for the "Closer" spinoff.

According to TVLine, Holden will play Ann McGinnis, the second-in-command of the LAPD's Special Operations Bureau tactical unit. Her nickname is "Annie Oakley" due to her impatience with bureaucracy, and she has moved up in the ranks rapidly thanks to her strong leadership skills.

The seventh episode of the show's new season could set up another spinoff, starring Jon Tenney's FBI Agent Fritz Howard (who is returning for the episode), but the "Major Crimes" showrunner denies it's anything that big.

"It is not a pilot. It is a 'Major Crimes' episode," EP James Duff tells TVLine. "We're just doing a super-sized nine-day shooting schedule episode of 'Major Crimes,' and it's going to be a lot of fun."
