Watch Viola Davis in the first clip from 'How to Get Away With Murder'

You can watch her in action on Thursday nights at 10 p.m., completing ABC's Shonda trifecta, in the fall, but you can also catch your first glimpse at her character in this just-released clip.

In it, an innocent college kid gets a rude awakening when he discovers just how intense his professor of Criminal Law 100 actually is -- or, as she likes to call it, "How to Get Away With Murder." (Ah, see what ya did there, ABC. Good thinking.)

"HTGAWM" inherits "Scandal's" old time slot, pushing the Kerry Washington-starring drama and its lead-in, "Grey's Anatomy," each one hour earlier.
