'Westworld' casts Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Shannon Woodward

"Westworld," the science-fiction adaptation of Michael Crichton's 1970s film coming to HBO has added several actors to the show set to star Anthony Hopkins. Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Angela Sarafyan and Simon Quarterman.

Set in the strange Westworld park, where the frontier West is created for visitors, Hopkins was previously announced to star as Dr. Robert Ford, the brilliant but complicated director.

The new cast's roles are as follows, according to The Hollywood Reporter:

  • Wood: Dolores Abernathy, a "quintessential farm girl" about to discover that her life is a lie
  • Wright: Bernard Lowe, the head of Westworld's programming whose life's work is creating artificial people
  • Santoro: Harlan Bell, the "most wanted" bandit of Westworld and a man who prefers being a predator
  • Woodward: Elsie King, a rising star in the programming division focusing on odd behavioral quirks
  • Berdal: Armistice, another bandit and a savage fighter with fierce loyalty
  • Sarafyan: Clementine Pennyfeather, one of Westworld's most popular "attractions"
  • Quarterman: Lee Sizemore, the narrative director of Westworld and the man behind the park's storylines

J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, Bryan Burk, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will executive-produce "Westworld."
