The cast of "Wet Hot American Summer" must've cleared their Trapper Keepers of appointments, because according to star/co-writer
, everyone from the cult hit 2001 movie has signed on for a sequel.

A sequel has been swirling through the rumor mill since cast members like

Entertainment Weekly in a 10-year anniversary feature that they'd be on board.
"It's been discussed over the last decade in various forms and incarnations," Rudd tells EW. "I think we would all be up for doing it."
Most recently, the cast (and a few celebrity friends like

Showalter says that the sequel will take place during the same year as the original film (1981), which means the film will feature "40-year-olds playing 16-year-olds." We wouldn't have it any other way.
