WGN America has released a new trailer for "Manhattan," its drama centered around the mission to build the world's first atomic bomb.

"Manhattan" tells the tale of a race against time, in which Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hickey) and his team of brilliant but flawed scientists and their families attempt to co-exist in a place where their every move is to be kept top secret. The trailer plays up the toll of all that secrecy on the people there.

The series also stars Rachel Brosnahan (Abby Isaacs), Olivia Williams (Liza Winter), Daniel Stern (Glen Babbit), Michael Chernus (Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz), and Eddie Shin (Sidney Liao). Sam Shaw ("Masters of Sex") created it, and Thomas Schlamme ("The West Wing") directs.

"Manhattan" premieres Sunday, July 27 at 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on WGN America.
