'What Not to Wear' updates its hairstylist
If you don't recognize the hairstylist on "What Not to Wear" on Friday, it's not because he got a makeover.
The TLC makeover show has replaced hairstylist Nick Arrojo with celeb stylist Ted Gibson. He makes his series debut on the July 24th episode at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ted onto the 'What Not to Wear' team, and into the TLC family," says Nancy Daniels, the network's SVP of production and development. "His credibility and reputation within the beauty and fashion industry serves as the perfect complement to our already stellar group of experts on the show. We want to thank Nick Arrojo for his amazing work over the years. As he moves on, we wish him all the best."
Gibson has styled stars such as Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Debra Messing and Gabrielle Union. He worked for a variety of big-name fashion mags such as Vogue and Elle and has shared his expertise on shows such as "Oprah," "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "Entertainment Tonight."
"Being part of the beauty, style and fashion team of experts is an extension of what I do in my salons, at red carpet events and on the covers of magazines," says Gibson. "The biggest reward is helping women realize their potential beauty and encouraging them to be their best selves."
Okay, Gibson looks and sounds very nice, and we're sure he'll be great ... but wow, we're going to miss Nick Arrojo. Not only was he very tactful and careful with the women's attachment to their locks, but he had that cool accent. Plus, how fun is it to say that last name? Arrojo.
We'll miss ya, Nick.
