Paul Walker's death loomed over "Wheel of Fortune" on Monday (Nov. 2). That's because the game show had "The Fast and the Furious" -- the movie franchise that made Walker famous -- as a puzzle answer on the show.

How did something like that happen? The answer comes from the fact that "Wheel of Fortune" pre-tapes its shows as much as several months in advance. This episode, which featured veterans playing for the show's money and prizes, had been scheduled for weeks before Walker's shocking death in a car crash on Saturday (Nov. 30).

The "Wheel of Fortune" Twitter account posted a message on this before the show began:

Despite the warning, many "Wheel" viewers were shocked when the answer to the final spin puzzle was a movie title: "The Fast and the Furious."

"Wheel of Fortune" seems to have recognized this and posted a final tweet in honor of Paul Walker.

Host Pat Sajak expressed regret at the timing of the puzzle on his personal Twitter account.

The strange "Wheel of Fortune" coincidence is one of several Walker-related television references that have aired since the actor died in a car crash. Bravo had scheduled a "Fast & Furious" marathon for the same weekend, while a British commercial featuring Paul Walker aired during a sporting event.
