Where's Vince? Let's talk about 'Entourage'
It's so strange to me that Vince, who used to be the center of the show, has taken something of a back seat to all the other character's antics. Sure he's still in every episode. But what has he really done so far this season besides buy Turtle a car, bed a new woman every week and wait around for his next movie to start production.
It seems to have left the show without any purpose this season. Sure Eric is struggling with his business and his new relationship but every time I see him arguing with Sloan I have a serious case of déjà vu. Weren't we all in this exact same place two seasons ago?
Like "Rescue Me," the strength of "Entourage" is the easy, hilarious rapport among the male friends. The best scenes come when they are hanging out and giving each other a hard time. But I'm frustrated that absolutely nothing seems to be happening this season. It feels like the biggest plot point is Turtle deciding to go back to college. Like the ladies of "Sex & the City" had to, these boys need to start growing up. I know they are changing in small ways. But it does seem like too little too late.

Discussion Topics of the Day
Okay, as much as I'm enjoying "Nurse Jackie," and think Edie Falco's performance is amazing, I still need more explanation for why Jackie is the way she is. I can surmise that the drugs and the affair are her coping mechanisms for managing the stress of her job but I want more insight into how all this happened. Did she have affairs before Eddie? Why does Eddie put up with a girlfriend he only sees during work? No matter how smitten he is, this doesn't seem that believable. Wouldn't he have been more suspicious before this point? More upset or confused by the fact that she had a child she had never told him about? I don't mind a mystery but parts of this story simply defy logic. What do you think?
Let's talk about "Royal Pains." Does anyone really want Evan and Divya together? That kiss they shared this week makes me a little nervous that this is the direction the show is thinking of going in, which I don't think is a good idea. The characters don't have a ton of chemistry together and it kind of seems like they're putting them together simply because they are both in the opening credits. What do you think?
And finally what are we going to do about "Psych?" The show kind of reminds me of what happened to "The O.C." in its later years. Suddenly its become more about quip one liner than about the actual plot. And the bickering between Shawn and Gus is so exhausting. The show has a good thing going in that it can be very funny and witty (see this week's exchange of the week) and Shawn and Gus can be quite amusing together. But "Psych" needs to temper these shenanigans with real, grounded storytelling.

Jill Flint, who is currently playing Jill on "Royal Pains," is also playing Dr. Cooper's girlfriend Melissa on "Nurse Jackie."
Beth Broderick was the talk show host the team was trying to bring down on "Leverage." She's Kate's mom Diane on "Lost" and Zelda on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch."

That's all for today. I'm back on Monday to talk about (finally!) the season premiere of "Project Runway" (if it looks like "Project Runway" and acts like "Project Runway" but airs on Lifetime, is it still "Project Runway?") and the season finale of "HawthoRNe." Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week or a topic for discussion? Write me at firstname.lastname@example.org or follow me on Twitter. Have a great weekend.
