Whitney Houston to be remembered with TV specials, tributes

whitney-houston-0212-gi.jpgAs the music world reels from the untimely death of Whitney Houston, her life is being remembered in a number of TV programs in the upcoming days. This will entail retrospectives on her life, classic performances, videos and movies.

Here's a quick rundown of what fans can expect to see in the coming days:

MONDAY (Feb. 13)

10 a.m.: VH1's "Big Morning Buzz Live" will talk to Grammy Awards attendees and discuss the impact of Houston.

6 p.m.: BET will air a three-hour special of "106 & Park" honoring Houston

8 p.m.: Lifetime will broadcast "The Bodyguard," her movie with with Kevin Costner.

9:30 p.m.: VH1 will air a special program, "Whitney Houston Death of a Diva."


TUESDAY (Feb. 14)


12 p.m. VH1 Classic will broadcast "A to Z Whitney Houston video" retrospective.

1 p.m.: BET is airing her 1997 TV movie "Cinderella," which also features Brandy and Whoopi Goldberg.
                
4:05 p.m.: Encore is slated to air Houston's 1995 film "Waiting to Exhale," also featuring Angela Bassett.
         

THURSDAY (Feb. 16)

Time TBD: VH1 will air a look back at Houston's best performances including her appearances on "VH1 Honors" in 1996 and "VH1 Divas" in 1999 and 2003.
