Will Alexander McQueen's death impact the Oscar red carpet?

The shocking, sad suicide of designer Alexander McQueen has created a furor at the Bryant Park tents of New York Fashion Week. And it's still unknown if his Paris show will go on.

Some fashion fans are wondering if it will also impact the Oscar red carpet. But according to Hollywood insiders, the Oscar-nominated actress have already gotten their gowns picked out and/or had them designed.

Since no one will breathe a word about "who they're wearing" to the Oscars, we'll just have to wait and see who will don a McQueen to honor his memory.

McQueen's statement-making status on the red carpets has always been high. But at the 2010 Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild, he dressed more actresses than ever before.
