Arnett has taken the lead role in a CBS comedy from "Raising Hope" creator Greg Garcia. The pilot is formally in second position to "Up All Night," but NBC is reportedly considering giving up on its attempt to reboot the show as a multi-camera comedy following a wave of setbacks, including the departure of Arnett's co-star Christina Applegate.

The CBS comedy will star Arnett as a recently divorced man whose life has another wrench thrown into it when his parents start having their own marital problems. It's a multi-camera, live-audience show, creator Garcia's first since "Yes, Dear."

In addition to "Up All Night," Arnett will reprise his role as Gob Bluth on the new season of "Arrested Development," which comes to Netflix in May.
