Will Arnett makes 'Parks and Rec' a family affair

willarnett_290.jpg Will Arnett will join his wife, Amy Poehler, on "Parks and Recreation" later this season.

The former "Arrested Development" star will guest-star on an episode of the NBC comedy in January, the network says. He'll be playing an MRI technician, which could put him in the orbit of nurse Ann (Rashida Jones), which would almost inevitably lead to a meeting with Leslie (Poehler). We're spitballing here; NBC hasn't given a full breakdown of the episode yet.

Arnett's appearance could also coincide with that of another reported "P&R" guest star, Justin Theroux. The "Six Feet Under" and "Miami Vice" actor and "Tropic Thunder" co-writer is reportedly doing a recurring role as a love interest for Leslie, but the network isn't commenting.

Poehler and Arnett, who have been married for six years, have made a habit of working together. She guested on several episodes of "Arrested Development" as the seal-trainer wife of Arnett's Gob Bluth, and they've co-starred in "Blades of Glory" and "Spring Breakdown" in addition to doing voice work on "Monsters vs. Aliens" and "Horton Hears a Who!"

The tremendously busy Arnett also has a bunch of movie projects in various states of completion; the next one due in theaters is "When in Rome," scheduled for late January.
