Former "Will & Grace" co-stars Eric McCormack and Debra Messing stopped by "Today" Thursday (Oct. 17) on GLAAD Spirit Day, reminiscing about their ground-breaking TV show that debuted 15 years ago.

"It definitely does not feel like it was 15 years ago," says Messing. "It feels as if it was just two years ago."

As for the social impact that their NBC comedy had, McCormack says that they talk about it more now than they ever did at the time.

"We used to be asked about it while it was on and we didn't want to say anything then, we were a comedy and we were just trying to be funny," says McCormack. "But with time ... what I'm most proud of is that the show always treated Will's desire for the perfect man as equal to Grace's desire for the perfect man and that's where it was subversive."

"It dared to treat -- particularly in this day and age of marriage equality -- that was the message that came out of the show," says McCormack.
