Tucker McCall may not be on "The Young and the Restless" much longer: Actor Stephen Nichols may have already filmed his final episode on the CBS daytime soap opera.

TVGuide.com reports that Nichols is leaving the show after three years in the Tucker McCall role. Jessica Heap, the actress who plays Eden Baldwin on the soap, is also rumored to be exiting the production.

No reason has been given for the exiting actors.

The 61-year-old has been a soap-opera actor since the 1980s, when he appeared on two episodes of "Dallas." Nichols had his first big role on "Days of Our Lives," playing Steve Johnson for 579 episodes between 1985 and 2009. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Lead Actor in 1988. Between 1997 and 2003, he starred as Stefan Cassadine on "General Hospital." Nichols joined the cast of "The Young and the Restless" in 2010 and has since appeared in almost 200 episodes.

Considering the troubles experienced by daytime soaps over the past few years, the exit of two actors from one of the few remaining programs could indicate future worries.
