William Shatner's Priceline Negotiator may not be dead

Priceline Negotiator Last Deal.jpgWilliam Shatner's Priceline Negotiator just had his last deal. The man who helped the world name their own price for travel just plunged to his death in a big green bus ... or did he? Maybe not.

According to The Wrap, Priceline.com spokesman Brian Ek confirms that Shatner, who has been the company's celebrity spokesman for 14 years, remains under contract with Priceline.com. Whew! Imagine if Shatner had more time on his hands to feud on YouTube with Carrie Fisher about "Star Wars" versus "Star Trek."

"Our agency recommended that, if we really wanted to grab people's attention, we needed to do a spot that was truly over the top," Ek said. "We did." The spot, which you can watch below, will begin airing on Monday. It will also run twice during the Super Bowl pre-show on Feb. 5. The company will also air a brand new commercial. If Shatner is still under contract, he could return in many ways. A negotiating ghost, perhaps? The spot says "last deal" not "dead."
