'Wizards of Waverly Place: Second movie 'not 100 percent dead,' says Maria Canals-Barrara
On Tuesday (June 28), we spoke to Maria Canals-Berrara, who co-stars with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in the upcoming "Larry Crowne." We'll post our full interview with her on Wednesday, but thought you'd appreciate a little intel from her other project, "The Wizards of Waverly Place. "
The actress, who plays the mother of the magical Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin on the the Disney show, also shared some scoop with us about the on-again/off-again second "Wizards" made-for-TV movie.
"I just heard it looks it might happen and the script is really good," said Canals-Berrara in a Tuesday (June 28) phone interview. "It's not 100 percent dead anymore."
Where did Canals-Barrera come by her information? Well, at the "Larry Crowne" world premiere it just so happens. She would only say that she heard the news from "a really reliable source."
"I'm all for it," she added. "[The first one] won an Emmy for heavens sake."
