the-chew-cast-ABC.jpgA woman who attended a taping of "The Chew" in New York City is suing the daytime talk show for an accident she had on the set that she claims left her seriously injured.

TMZ reports that Angelina Delic was in the studio audience in 2012 when she fell down some stairs that did not have a handrail. Delic's lawyer says she tripped over a toe strip, fell down six steps and landed on her right shin. Nothing was broken, but in the photo, Delic shows a couple of small puncture wounds that she claims stemmed from the accident.

In the lawsuit, Delic alleges that due to the "dangerous" set, which is full of "debris" and "hazardous, unsafe ... traps and concealed dangers," she is suing for negligence. The amount of damages Delic is seeking is not named, but her lawyer tells TMZ that her medical bills -- because she developed a bacterial infection and had to see a doctor over 20 times in order to treat the infection -- exceeded $50,000.

A rep for ABC tells the site they have no knowledge of the lawsuit.
