The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the series won't get a Season 2 after being pulled from NBC's schedule on Aug. 20. New episodes of "Welcome to Sweden," which was already renewed, will air instead.

"Working the Engels" was the first collaboration between a United States network and a Canadian broadcaster. The show also wasn't picked up by Global TV for a Season 2 due to ratings that "were not strong enough to warrant a second season," according to Shaw Media network.

Written and created by Katie and Jane Ford, "Working the Engels" starred Andrea Martin, Kacey Rohl, Azura Skye and Benjamin Arthur. The show, about a family law firm that inherits a mountain of debt after their father passes away, was picked up straight to series in November 2013.
