World Series to go the distance; What this could mean for 'Grimm' and 'Chuck' ratings

david-freese-stl-getty.jpgBaseball fans everywhere are certainly excited to see the World Series between St. Louis and Texas go down to a seventh game airing Friday (Oct. 28). But not everyone is happy about this...especially NBC.

The network plans to air the season premiere of "Chuck" and the series premiere of "Grimm" opposite the deciding game of the Fall Classic. This could be especially bad for "Grimm" as it's trying to build an audience. "Chuck" shouldn't face the same problems as it's entering its last season.

"The plan is still to premiere 'Chuck' Season 5 tomorrow night," "Chuck" co-creator Josh Schwartz tweeted late Thursday. "Yes, versus Game 7. No, we wouldn't have it any other way."

As for FOX, this means that "Fringe" won't be back for another week. ABC counters with its new residence for " Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and " 20/20." CBS will air new episodes of its drama line-up of " A Gifted Man," " CSI:NY" and " Blue Bloods."

The one thing we can guarantee is there won't be any more baseball-related changes. There's no such thing as a Game 8.

UPDATE: CBS announced that it will pull new episodes of "A Gifted Man," "CSI: NY" and "Blue Bloods" in favor of repeats.
