In the new trailer for "World War Z," we learn the zombie apocalypse is real, and it's going to destroy the earth if Brad Pitt can't stop it. Pitt is a United Nations researcher tasked with finding a cure for whatever is turning earthlings into the walking dead. Otherwise, he's told, "Life as we know it will come to an end in ninety days."
Pitt's character, Gerry Lane, is conflicted about leaving his family behind to succumb to martial law as the east coast of the U.S. and other parts of the world have gone dark. But if Lane doesn't stop this mysterious plague from destroying the world, he has no chance of saving his own family.
"Every human being we save is one less to fight," Lane is told, as he catches on to a weakness in the organism that's zombifying humans by the masses.
The highlight of the trailer is Pitt hanging on by the sheer force of his super human will as a jumbo jet full of passengers is sucked from the fuselage to their impending doom.
