Previously on: Last week it was old school "WWE RAW,"  a show that was more fun than anything else. The special appearances, the old arena and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. It's all you could have asked for. The foundation was also built for Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar at the "Royal Rumble."

The big news: Regardless of any action in the ring, the biggest news of the night was the first inductee in the 2014 Hall of Fame. WWE revealed that The Ultimate Warrior would appear at the ceremony to take his rightful place in the Hall of Fame.

It's something fans wouldn't have expected a year ago because WWE and Warrior have been on bad terms since the late 90s. However, they were able to bury the hatchet and Warrior even worked with WWE to promote their latest video game, "WWE 2K14."

With the news that Warrior is getting inducted, it's time for the company to settle it's other issues with former talents that deserve to be honored in this way. If the late Randy "Macho Man" Savage isn't at the top of that list, whoever put it together is crazy. Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper are already in, Warrior is going in, it's time for WWE to pay tribute to Savage.

The main stories each got their focus, with Daniel Bryan journey with the Wyatt Family getting the most time. Bryan teamed with Bray Wyatt twice against the Usos. They lost the first by DQ after the family interferes. Before the night was done they met again in a steel cage match.

Kane made sure the door of the cage, so using that as an escape wasn't an option. In the end the Usos scale the cage walls first and win the match. They also take care of the rest of the family outside the ring and celebrate on their way up the ramp. Not a great couple of weeks for the Wyatt Family. After the match, Wyatt looked to punish Bryan with Sister Abigail, but he ducked out of it, which made the crowd happy. They want him back.

Bryan wouldn't attack Wyatt though, so he was labeled a coward by his leader. That was enough to send Daniel over the edge, as he dished out a bunch of kicks to the delight of the audience. Bryan then got rid of the coveralls and continued kicking Wyatt while the family tries to get over the cage.

This is some serious backtracking by the WWE. Maybe they realized just how strange it was to have Bryan in the Wyatt Family. He's the most popular guy in the company by a long shot and the crowd doesn't want to boo him.

Elsewhere, CM Punk teamed with the New Age Outlaws to take on The Shield but the Outlaws walked out on him during the match. Punk ended up a victim of the numbers game, losing after a spear from Roman Reigns. Later in the show, Punk approached Kane backstage and told him Triple H doesn't need to hide behind so many guys if he's got a problem. All signs point toward CM Punk vs. Triple H at " Wrestlemania."

John Cena and Randy Orton both appeared in matches. Cena won his, but Orton lost. After his match, Randy threw a fit and attacked Cena's dad, who happened to be at ringside. John Cena Sr. was taken from the arena in an ambulance. Things never end well for the guy when he comes to watch his kid wrestle.

"Royal Rumble" entrants so far: Batista, Alberto Del Rio, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Big E. Langston, R-Truth, Xavier Woods, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio and CM Punk

Odds and ends:
  • The more WWE talks about their network, the better it sounds
  • No app installation tutorials tonight
  • WWE gives each match its own hashtag now, which is an interesting tactic
  • Road Dogg's act still kills on the microphone
  • No Triple H or Stephanie McMahon on the show tonight
  • Brock Lesnar was also absent, though Paul Heyman cut a promo that built towards the Big Show match
  • One more week until Batista is back

Matches:
  • The Usos beat the Wyatt Family by disqualification
  • John Cena beat Damien Sandow
  • Big Show beat Jack Swagger
  • The Shield beat CM Punk and the New Age Outlaws
  • AJ Lee and Tamina Snuke beat The Funkadactyls
  • Kofi Kingston beat Randy Orton
  • Cody Rhodes and Goldust beat Ryback and Curtis Axel
  • Alberto Del Rio beat Rey Mysterio
  • The Usos beat The Wyatt Family
