Viewers who tuned into "WWE RAW" Monday (October 7) were met with a pair of surprises. First, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was in the arena and will be the guest referee for the main event at "WWE Hell in a Cell." The match, held inside a gigantic cage, will finally determine the rightful WWE Champion, Randy Orton or Daniel Bryan.
That wasn't the most shocking surprise, though. It was the announcement that WWE superstar John Cena would also be making his return, after taking time off following "SummerSlam," that caught the crowd off guard. Cena underwent surgery on a torn triceps muscle that was supposed to leave him on the shelf for 4-6 months.
Cena's return comes less than three months into his recovery, which makes the announcement a bit strange. However, the company and Cena himself confirm that he will be on for the show.
"WWE Hell in a Cell" broadcasts live Sunday, October 27, on pay per view.
