Wyclef Jean spent Thursday clearing bodies from the rubble of Port-au-Prince.
"We spent the day picking up dead bodies, all day that's what we did. There's so much bodies in the streets that the morgues are filled up, the cemeteries are filled up," he told
Describing Port-au-Prince as "the apocalypse," he said Haiti needs $1 million dollars a day to survive. "In four or five days, this whole country is going to be in chaos."
He asks his fans to donate via text by sending the word 'YELE' to 501 501, where each text is worth $5. His wife came with him to help their country.
Matt Damon, who traveled with Jean to Haiti, added, "I've seen extreme poverty before, I've never seen it coupled with massive disaster."
