Wynonna Judd's husband, Cactus Moser, loses leg after motorcycle crash

wynonna-judd-cactus-moser.jpg Wynonna Judd 's husband, drummer Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser, had his left leg amputated above the knee after a serious motorcycle crash Saturday (Aug. 18) in South Dakota.

Judd's website posted an "official update" on her bandmate's condition:

"Moser's left leg was severed at the scene of the accident and doctors in Rapid City, S.D. amputated the leg above the knee. He has also undergone surgery to his hand. Judd and Moser appreciate all of the quick medical and police responders as well as the hospital staff and well-wishes from family, friends and fans."

In an earlier statement, Judd said, "The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side."

The newlyweds were married June 10 in Tennessee.
