If the complicated past-and-future-collide story of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" confused you up until this point, then the third and final trailer for the movie 20th Century Fox released is just for you.

While previous trailers for the "X-Men: First Class" sequel highlighted the gorgeous cinematography of the film and just how cool it is that all the X-Men from the original and rebooted movies have come together, the above video is much more plot-driven. Wolverine comes from a war-torn future to help '70s-era Xavier and Magneto defeat Bolivar Trask ( "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage) and his Sentinel army. Cue epic fight scenes, cool mutant transformations and Magneto tossing a football stadium into the middle of a highway.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" will feature appearances by Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Halle Berry and more who starred in the first three "X-Men" movies, but back in December director Bryan Singer said he had cut "True Blood" star Anna Paquin's small part from the film. Considering Paquin's name is featured in the credits in the above trailer, Buzzfeed did a little digging and learned from a rep that Paquin is indeed back in the movie, though her scene is "essentially a cameo." The more X-Men, the merrier!

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is due in theaters on May 23.
