'X-Men: Days of Future Past': Hugh Jackman negotiating to return as Wolverine
The gang is coming back together for Bryan Singer's upcoming return to the "X-Men" series. Following the news earlier this week that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will reprise their roles as Charles Xavier and Magneto in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," it's being reported that Hugh Jackman is also in talks to return as Wolverine.
This shouldn't come as much of a surprise for fans. Jackman had a quick cameo appearance as Wolverine in "X-Men: First Class," and has an upcoming standalone-ish "X-Men" movie coming out next year called "The Wolverine." The Hollywood Reporter has the news about Jackman's potential -- yet likely -- involvement.
It's unclear whether Wolverine would appear in the present timeline of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" or the nightmarish futuristic one -- or both. Hopefully he'll have a larger role to play this time around if he does return. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is due out on July 18, 2014.
