demi-lovato-xfactor-magnus-loft-foursquare.jpgWho knew reality TV is not really real? That's rhetorical because, let's be honest, at this point who doesn't know? Still, TMZ feigns shock and horror upon discovering "The X Factor USA" is faking when they show Britney Spears' and Simon Cowell's homes -- where they invite contestants to hang out during the boot camp episodes.

Simon's "home" in Miami is actually a mansion owned by Alex Rodriguez, that's currently on the market for a cool $38 million. Britney's "home" in Malibu is also not her true abode, as she lives in Calabasas.

While TMZ was "unclear" as to whether L.A. Reid's and Demi Lovato's homes were the real deal, sources give Zap2it the lowdown on Demi's funky living space. "Demi's house," which can be seen in this video recap, is actually a loft location in downtown Los Angeles, popular for music videos and photo shoots. Corinne Bailey Rae's video for "Closer" was shot at the Magnus Walker Loft in 2010, and you may recognize it from some early episodes of "The Voice."

Since "X Factor" wants you to believe you're getting a peek inside Demi's home, perhaps those "Sonny With A Chance" residuals aren't rolling in. Our sources say the loft doesn't even have air conditioning. Ouch!
