'X Factor': Jillian Jensen and Demi Lovato share emotional bond
The 19-year-old from Massachusetts was incredibly emotional, because Lovato has been an inspiration and role model for her because of being bullied in junior high and high school for being different. If that weren't enough, Jillian launched into a rendition of "Who You Are" by Jessie J that left nary a dry eye in the house.
Simon Cowell even seemed a little choked up and we're not sure we've ever seen that happen before on one of these shows.
After her performance, the judges were lavishing Jillian with praise and she couldn't really take it -- she started sobbing and Demi went up on stage to give her a hug. Jillian was shaking and clinging to Lovato like a life preserver, it was a very touching moment.
Before putting her through, judge L.A. Reid commented, "I have never heard anybody take their pain, take their experiences, and pour it into the song the way you did. That's what this business is all about."
And he was right. Jillian wasn't the strongest singer they heard, but it's also hard to really judge, since singing while holding back tears is incredibly difficult. But Jillian was put through with flying colors in one of the most emotional auditions we've seen on a singing competition show. Video below.
