'X Factor' moved to Thursday and Sunday due to ALCS Game 4

x-factor-premiere-fox.jpgThe American League Championship Series between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers saw a 2 hour and 20 minute rain delay for Game 4 Wednesday (Oct. 12), which has pushed "The X Factor" Wednesday night episode, the first "Judges' Homes" episode, to Thursday (Oct. 13) and the Thursday episode, "Judges' Homes" part II to Sunday, Oct. 16.

Of course, the Sunday broadcast is all predicated on there being no Game 7 of the ALCS. If there is a Game 7, we aren't sure yet just what FOX will do. The third "Judges' Homes" episode is scheduled to air Tuesday, Oct. 18.

FOX says of the "Judges' Homes" episodes:

The competition kicks into high gear tomorrow as L.A. Reid begins mentoring the Boys; Simon Cowell mentors the Girls; Nicole Scherzinger mentors the Over 30s and Paula Abdul mentors the Groups. In the "Judges' Homes" episodes, the 32 acts that survived "Boot Camp" are whisked away to their mentor's home, or to a location of the judge's choice, for their final shot at earning a place on the live shows. With everything on the line, the contestants will have to convince their judge - and another surprise celebrity guest mentor, including superstar Rihanna - that they deserve one of the coveted spots in each judge's final category.

"The X Factor" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
