'X Factor's' Restless Road: One Direction is 'so laid-back and nice'
"During the song we couldn't hear ourselves," says Colton (middle). "So we definitely want to go back and watch it so if that was an issue we can definitely fix it because that's ultimately what's going to make us better as a group."
"I think I actually kicked someone in the head on the stage, while standing on the platform," says Andrew (left). Zach (right) adds, "I was scared I was going to step on people's fingers because they were all over the stage, oh my gosh. They kept grabbing my leg."
But the guys appreciated the One Direction fans in the house, with Zach cracking, "We took those Directioners and made them Roadies! ... It was nice having all those fans excited to be there, so that was a plus."
He adds that the guys in One Direction could not have been nicer.
"They talked to us about where we were from and were we put in a group, just simple stuff like that," says Zach. "They're so laid-back and nice, it was such a nice thing to be able to talk to them and see that they started on the 'X Factor' and see where they are today."
The guys also tease for the press that there's going to be an original song week on "The X Factor" and that they've already started writing together.
"We do a lot of writing, actually," says Colton. "We do a lot as individuals, but we have done some writing together and I think it's turned out pretty good."
Tune in Thursday (Nov. 21) to "The X Factor" at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX to find out which two acts are going home.
