Zachary Quinto and Jonathan Groff break up - report
A source close to the couple tells Us Weekly that the busy schedules of both actors are what did the relationship in. "Zach being away and filming was not easy on them," the source says. "Now he's going to be in New York with his new play ["The Glass Menagerie"]. They really loved each other, so it wasn't an easy split."
The split doesn't seem poised to turn into an ugly one, the report indicates. "It just ran its course," the source says. "Zach has been out and about and he seems fine." As for Groff, a separate source tells the magazine that the actor has put aside his own woes to be strong for his close friend Lea Michele, who is mourning the death of boyfriend Cory Monteith. "He flew to be with her as soon as he heard," the friend says. "His heart is broken for her."
Quinto and Groff first confirmed their relationship in Sept. 2012, nearly a year after Qunito officially came out as a gay man in Oct. 2011.
