Arnett's Ready To Go 'Semi-Pro'

Will Arnett is ready to live out some hoop dreams.

The "Arrested Development" star is joining the cast of "Semi-Pro," Will Ferrell's latest venture into the world of amateur and professional sports.

Scripted by Scot Armstrong, the fictional tale is set around the final days of the American Basketball Association. Ferrell will play Jackie Moon, the owner-player-coach of the Flint Tropics. Andre Benjamin and Woody Harrelson are already on board as players.

According to Variety, Arnett will play the team's announcer, Lou Redwood.

The film marks the directing debut of New Line exec Kent Alterman.

Also new to the "Semi-Pro" cast is Josh Braaten ("Modern Men").

Arnett has already completed work on another Ferrell-centric sports comedy "Blades of Glory." He also has "Hot Rod" and "The Brothers Solomon" in the can.
