'Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss' chronicles bride's 'Big Day'

A year ago, New Jersey bride Kelly Miller appeared on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss," the plus-size edition of the wedding dress shopping franchise headquartered at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York.

Outspoken, confident and sassy, Miller was engaged to Roger Gasser III of Ohio, a teacher and college football coach she met through an online dating service.

Now on Friday, Oct. 14, the one-hour special, "Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day" follows Miller and Gasser to their wedding at Westmount Country Club in West Paterson, N.J.

"My wedding day was amazing," says newlywed Mrs. Gasser. "I can't even tell you. I was stressed out of my mind up until the day came. I was like, 'Yay, I'm getting married!' Nothing got me upset. I didn't care. They told me it was pouring rain; I couldn't get married outside. I was like, 'Oh, well, I'm getting married. I don't care.' "

Asked what married life is like, she says, "It feels pretty much the same, except now he listens to me a little more."

Calling her spouse "hot," Gasser says, "Just for the record, my husband is obsessed with me. He loves the way that I look. He couldn't be happier. I do think there are more men than women realize that are looking for this."

As to what she hopes women take away from the special, Gasser says, "I would like for them to come away saying, 'Guess what, I'm fat, and I'm going to get me a hot husband.' "
