Game Time: "Final Fantasy XIII-2" and "SoulCalibur V"
Lightning, the main protagonist of "Final Fantasy XIII," has gone missing. Now, as the world of Gran Pulse slowly recovers from the events of the past, you must guide new characters into the fray with the single hope of finding Lightning. It's a journey that travels through time and space itself and is fraught with danger at every turn.
The long-running Square Enix franchise continues with "Final Fantasy XIII-2," a jaw-droppingly gorgeous role-playing game that focuses on the enormous, sometimes confusing mythology of the Final Fantasy universe. New protagonists Serah Farron, the younger sister of Lightning, and the time-traveling mystery man Noel Kreiss join forces, each with their own motives for finding the ultrapowered heroine of "Final Fantasy XIII." Gameplay remains relatively unchanged with some minor enhancements to the Active Time Battle system, while the addition of time travel creates new puzzles and multiple endings to the game.
While the game itself combines awe-inspiring visuals with unique role-playing game elements, the stories, characters and settings can be a lot to take in for the uninitiated. Fans of the series will be treated to even more back story and a bevy of new characters to enjoy.
