'The Riches,' 'Dirt' Get Shorter
Both shows finished seven episodes (of a planned 13) before the strike began. Rather than resuming filming on the remaining episodes in the order, though, the cable channel will stick with what it's got -- even if that means unfinished story arcs.
The decision to stick with the abbreviated runs for each show have more to do with the bottom line than they do about the quality of the two series. Not producing the extra episodes will save FX some cash, and the shorter runs will not affect the two shows' chances to return for a third season, according to

"Dirt" begins its second season on Sunday, March 2, and a premiere date for "The Riches" is expected to be announced in the next few days.
