'3:10 to Yuma' Actress Gives Birth to Son

Gretchen Mol, who played a mother to two sons in "3:10 to Yuma," is now a mom in real life.

The 34-year-old actress and her husband, director Tod "Kip" Williams, welcomed a son into their lives in mid-September, reports People.

The actress' rep confirms that little Ptolemy John Williams was born Sept. 10. Although the news was a little late in coming, the kid's name was worth the wait. It's not often a first century mathematician/scientist is represented.

Mol stars as Christian Bale's wife in the remake of "3:10 to Yuma." Her other credits include "The Notorious Bettie Page," "The Ten," "The Shape of Things," "The Thirteenth Floor," "Music From Another Room" and "Rounders."

Williams, 38, wrote and directed "The Door in the Floor." The family lives in New York.
