Early July 20, the actor was driving his 1995 Saturn home when it collided with a brick pillar on Flintridge Avenue, just east of Chevy Chase Drive and flipped. Following the crash, he was apparently alert and able to talk when he was taken to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena to be treated for bruises, a broken rib and shoulder injury.

Osment lives with his family in La Canada Flintridge, about 14 miles from downtown Los Angeles. He attended a prep school there where he was a straight-A student.

He's also been busy with numerous voice over projects, including FOX's "Family Guy," "The Country Bears," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" and "The Jungle Book 2."

Osment's upcoming film is "Home of the Giants," in which he plays Robert "Gar" Garland, a high school journalist covering the basketball team on its way to the state championships. He's torn when he discovers that his hoopster pal has been asked to throw a big game. A release date has yet to be announced.
