'CSI: Miami' on the Case Monday

CBS held off NBC to claim the ratings crown Monday, thanks in large part to a better-than-usual showing by "CSI: Miami."

For the night, CBS averaged a 9.1 rating/14 share, beating out NBC's 8.2/13. FOX came in third with a 5.8/9. ABC, 4.9/8, finished fourth, and The CW brought up the rear with a 1.9/3.

NBC grabbed the No. 1 spot among adults 18-49 with a 5.1 rating. CBS, 4.6, finished second in the key ad-sales demographic, followed by FOX at 3.5. ABC averaged 2.8 and The CW 1.2.

"Deal or No Deal" ruled the 8 p.m. hour, scoring a strong 11.0/17 for NBC. FOX's "Prison Break" scored a 5.8/9, tying for second in households with CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," 6.1/9, and "The Class," 5.5/8 (FOX had more total viewers). "Wife Swap" was fourth for ABC. "Everybody Hates Chris," 2.0/3, and "All of Us," 1.9/3, finished fifth for The CW.

At 9 p.m., "Two and a Half Men," 10.2/15, and "Old Christine," 8.1/12, gave CBS the lead among households, but NBC's "Heroes," 8.8/13, led the hour in total viewers. "The Bachelor: Rome," 6.1/9, edged a "House" repeat on FOX, 5.8/9, for third (with FOX having a lead in viewers). "Girlfriends" and "The Game" held steady for The CW.

"CSI: Miami" scored a 12.2/20, the night's biggest audience, for CBS at 10 p.m. "Studio 60" drew a 5.0/8 for NBC, topping ABC's "What About Brian," 4.1/7.
