Selma Blair Completes 'Kath and Kim'
Blair ("Cruel Intentions," "Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane") is in negotiations to star opposite
The show, an adaptation of a hit Australian comedy, was first ordered to pilot last year, with Ben Silverman's company Reveille producing. The show didn't go forward then, however, because of problems casting the two leads.
When Silverman became co-chairman of NBC last summer, he put the show back in development, and
Like the Aussie show, NBC's "Kath and Kim" will focus on the relationship between Kath and her adult daughter Kim. Blair is only eight years younger than Shannon in real life, but that's part of the joke; Riley, who played Kim in the original, is a year older than Turner, who played Kath.
Blair has a pair of movies due for release in the next few months: "My Mom's New Boyfriend," with
