'Knocked Up' Freak Flies to 'Adventureland'

"Freaks and Geeks" star and "Knocked Up" co-star Martin Starr will appear in Miramax's comedy "Adventureland."

The project is written and directed by Greg Mottola, who also directed Starr's late summer cameo in "Superbad."

Beyond his basic casting, Variety offers no info on what, exactly, Starr will be doing in "Adventureland." We know that the film is set in 1987 and focuses on a recent college grad (Jesse Eisenberg) who takes a minimum wage job at an amusement park in order to pay for his dream European vacation. Ryan Reynolds will play the park's coolest employee at the park. Kristen Stewart ("Into the Wild") will co-star.

In addition to "Superbad," Mottola and Starr previously worked together on an episode of "Undeclared." Although still best known to dedicated fans as Bill Haverchuck from "Freaks and Geeks," Starr reached a whole new audience this summer as the beard-growing Martin in "Knocked Up."
