FX Spends Its 'Riches' in March
The show about a family of con artists, starring
FX is employing a similar strategy with another second-year series, "Dirt," which will begin its seven-episode run on March 2.
Season two of "The Riches" will pick up with Wayne Malloy (Izzard) sending his Traveller family back on the road after the life they'd assumed in suburbia crumbled at the end of last season. A big land-development deal with Hugh Panetta (Gregg Henry), however, entices Wayne to stay put, while his wife, Dahlia (Emmy and
Shannon Woodward, Aidan Mitchell, Noel Fisher, Margo Martindale and Todd Stashwick will all reprise their roles from last season. British actor Jared Harris ("Ocean's Twelve," "Igby Goes Down") is joining the cast.
"The Riches" averaged a cumulative 5.1 million viewers in multiple weekly runs last season. About two-thirds of those viewers fell into FX's core demographic of adults 18-49.
