'High School Musical' Star Battles Aliens

A "High School Musical" star and her new nose will make their feature film debut in the adventure comedy "They Came From Upstairs."

John Schultz will direct Ashley Tisdale and a cast that also includes Robert Hoffman ("Step Up 2 the Streets"), Carter Jenkins ("Surface"), Austin Butler ("Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide"), Ashley Boettcher and Henri and Regan Young.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Mark Burton and Adam F. Goldberg scripted project focuses on a group of teens who have to defend their Maine home from the aliens who invaded the top floor.

Production will begin at the end of the month in Auckland, New Zealand (perhaps the only place where aliens limit their invasions to "upstairs") for 20th Century Fox.

Tisdale, who underwent a recent highly publicized surgery for a deviated septum, is best known as Sharpay from the "High School Musical" telefilms and as Maddie from "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody." A third "High School Musical," this one intended as a theatrical release, is now in pre-production.
