Game Time: 'Transformers: War for Cybertron' and 'TNA Impact: Cross the Line'
Whether your source of Transformers lore is the classic 1980s cartoon or the live-action flicks, you know all too well of the battles that the Autobots and Decipticons waged on Earth. The question is, how did it all begin back on Cybertron? Well, wonder no longer, because that's the plot of
The game's single-player mode is actually split into two full campaigns... one where you control the Autobots and one for the dastardly Decepticons. Throughout the story, you'll encounter a cavalcade of familiar faces including fan favorites Megatron, Optimus Prime and Soundwave. If the battle becomes too much for you and your AI-driven partners, just have your friends pick up their controllers and wage war together. If your friends decide to quit playing, they can drop out as easily as they joined, allowing the AI to once again take over their roles on the battlefield.
Multiplayer modes are also available, allowing you to create your own Transformer with its own chassis, class, weapons, skills and add-ons. As you gain victories in combat, your robotic character will grow, gaining new skills and abilities. Familiar modes of play include the ever-popular Deathmatch and Conquest, while newcomers Code of Power and Countdown to Extinction add to the online fun.
